Let me introduce to you my little Parisian flat, located in the 17th arrondissement, a very quiet adorable district where I am lucky enough living in it since now four years!
I remember having the tropical/mediterranean inspiration decor right after coming back from my holidays in Algarve, Portugal. I was looking for some changes in my life,I was looking for what can reflect my personality the most, in which decor I can feel my best. I was tired of the stressful cloudy Paris and wanted to bring some breeze, some beachy waves. So I decided to take control of it and create those beachy vibes in my own space!
Interiors are very important to the mental health of people they liveg in. You have to feel comfortable, feel yourself and in your own environment in your home! I remember spending about three months decorating my flat and searching for that subtle chic, yet exotic touch to finally get satisfied with the final result : Tropical chic decor with a fine subtle exotic touch.
I already had the bed ,the dark brown shelves, the desk, chair and curtains: Minimalist furniture with neutral colors that helped me adding and combining whatever I want with them.
Bed : The master piece of the room, I started putting banana leaf / Cheetah pillows, throwing the beach bohemian plaid bought at the beach in Vilamoura.
Shelves : I first made the arrangement of the big decor pieces that I had in my mind , I used the silver tray and pineapple which started to add that subtle/chic touch to the overall decor. I added also two ratin shells of different size for the exotic/beach atmosphere which went perfectly with the pillows. I reorganised all my perfumes and added some objects made of glass like the vase and candle holders to bring some transparency and reduce the massiveness of the dark shelves.
Something was missing in the corner of the room, and in my whole flat : life! refering to plants of course, I chose spontanuously among all the plants the Dracaena plant which remind me so much of the palmers of the Algerian desert 🙂
