I never was a fan of mini skirts or mini dresses, I always wanted to feel free, comfortable and effortless by wearing midi/maxi dresses and this is why I am so addicted to it!
Algerian robe d’interieur or Maxi dress, the same for me !
Midi/Maxi dresses reminds me so to the Algerian “robe d’intérieur” worn in summer, that every typical Algerian woman, including me, have at least one to throw on at home, and you can’t imagine how relaxed we do feel wearing it, especially when the dress is a bit long comparing to what it supposed to be (90% are like that to be honest) and we have to hold it a bit up to climb the stairs. What an effortless elegance and feminity we feel at that moment, unbelieveble!
This is the exact effect a midi/maxi dress brings to me, and this is so far the main reason I wear it. Forgetting about the fact that it may be trendy, that it’s so bohemian, bohochic whatever style. As my pictures may express it, I have nothing to do with the bohemian style :P.
Effortless elegance, little edge and exotiness
I spontaniously paired my floral ruffle trim midi dress with sandals to bring an effortless / subtly elegant touch and my biker jacket to always keep that little edge. Another important element that you will always find in my outfits, is exotiness that will bring me back to my Mediterranean Algerian roots again. It is most of the time expressed by elegant ethnic beachy jewelry 🙂
